Document 3/599/3 (Lind. Cart., no. 71)
- Description
- R. (Reginald?) de Warenne makes known that his nepos, Adam, with the wish and counsel of all his parents and friends, has given and granted to Lindores Abbey, three acres of measured arable land, in free and pure alms, free and quit from all services and customs and secular exactions. And since Adam has no seal, R. has established the acres to the monks as principal lord. The bounds were made in front of R. and other worthy men, namely, Hugh Sax [or Say], Partick persona of Exmagirdle; Adam and Thomas his brother, of Pitkaithly, David brother of the aforesaid Adam the grantor’s nepos; John his nepos; and Robert Herneys of Forgan[denny], and several other worthy men.
