- Thomas of Restalrig has given, granted, and by this his charter established to Newbattle Abbey a land in Leith (MLO) 30 feet in width and the same in length, the same as those of the neighbours, i.e., that land which lies between the land of John son of Ralph and the land of William ‘Meisser’, in pure and perpetual alms, holding of him and his heirs free and quit from all secular custom, service and exaction, for an annual render of 2d and an offering, that is, 1d. at Pentecost and 1d. and an offering on Martinmas.

This is possibly the same toft in Leith given by Edward of Restalrig, but with an annual render and warrandice specified, or it is just possibly a new toft.
