- Description
- Alexander of Hadden, son of Alexander Servise ('ale') and Margaret, daughter of the late Peter of Hadden, in his free power, sold, granted and by this present charter established in perpetuity to the porter of Melrose and his successors all his land which hereditably has or was able to have in the territory of Elliston (ROX) with all its pertinents, freedoms and easements pertaining to the same land for a certain sum of money, viz. 12 pounds of sterling, which the porter rendered by hands for him and his successors. Additionally, he resigned all right and claim which he had or was able to have in the said land to the porter and his heirs.
