Description
William of Mordington has given, granted and by this his present charter quitclaimed, for him and his heirs, to Melrose Abbey, that land in Briggate (in Berwick, BWK) with all its pertinents which the monks bought from Robert of Bernham and all right which he had in the same land or was able to have, in free, pure and perpetual alms, with all the freedoms in the other lands in the villa of Berwick (BWK) [which] they may hold and possess by gift in alms.
