Description
Notification by Nicholas of Lochmaben, official of the archdeacon of Lothian, that when the Prior of Coldingham, for himself and his convent, sued Sir Walter de Bourdon, knight, before him in his chapter over one stone of wax to be paid annually to the convent of Coldingham (BWK), according to what is more fully contained in the charter of his father, which the said prior produced in chapter in front of Nicholas, Sir Walter acknowledged his father's charter in front of Nicholas and that he was bound to pay the said annual stone of wax; and Sir Walter has faithfully promised, for himself and his heirs, that each year in perpetuity he shall pay to the said prior and convent on the feast of St Michael one stone of wax.
