- Description
- Roger son of Glay has given, granted and by this his charter established, to Melrose Abbey, for the welfare of Walter son of Alan, his lord, and others, certain land in the territory of Innerwick (ELO) as a ditch encircles the said land made by the brothers, in free, pure and perpetual alms, free and quit from all terrestrial service, exaction and secular demand. Moreover, he has given, granted and by this his present charter established to the said monks, common pasture of the villa of Innerwick, by stated bounds, with easements, in peataries and turbaries, in heaths and in pastures, in pure and perpetual alms, free and quit from all services, exactions and demands.
