Walter Oliphant has made firm to God and St Cuthbert and St Æbbe and the monks of Durham serving God at Coldingham the donation that Clerambault of Ashby made to God and St Cuthbert and St Æbbe and the monks of Coldingham serving God there in respect of two fisheries upon the Tweed, that is, one fishery below the garden of Fishwick, and another at 'Schipeswel', as it is contained in the charter that the said Clerambault gave to the said monks about the said fisheries, which he, Walter, gave and granted and made firm by his charter to the said Clerambault and his heirs in return for his homage and service.
