- John of Hunsigore has sold, granted, and made firm by the present charter, to Simon son of Thomas and his heirs or assignees, 1 ploughgate of land in the villa of Renton for 15 silver marks, that is, that ploughgate which he bought from Patrick Dreng, to him and his heirs or assigness to hold and have freely and quietly, just as he held and had it; rendering to the prior and convent of Coldingham half a mark of silver at three terms, namely, 20 d. at Easter, 30 d. at the feast of John the Baptist, and 30 d. at the feast of St Martin; and doing forinsec service, as much as pertains to 1 ploughgate of land in the same villa.
