- Description
- Richard Comyn, with the assent and consent of Hextilda his wife and his heirs, has given, and by this his charter established, to Holyrood Abbey, in pure and perpetual alms, for the souls of King David, Earl Henry, and King Malcolm, and for the welfare of the soul of King William and David his brother, and others, all the land [of Slipperfield (WLO)], by stated bounds, with liberty to build a mill. He has quitclaimed the canons from all service and custom, and will acquit all service and secular exaction to the king and his bailies.
