Document 3/130/1 (Kel. Lib., no. 198)
- Description
- Reginald of Corra addresses Sir William of Sinclair, his knight, concerning his whole land of Fincorra within the barony of Lesmahagow (LAN) which William held from Reginald at ferme for three marks annually, until the end of the established bounds made in a convention between William and Reginald's father. He states that he resigned and quitclaimed to Kelso Abbey as the superior lord of the land, all right which he had or was able to have whatsoever in the said land up until the present time. He diligently requires William’s cooperation to satisfactorily make payment of 3 marks to the abbey in his name and convent and makes it clear that he is unwilling to except any excuse William may have.
