Richenda, daughter of Humphrey of Berkeley, notes that in the time of Robert son of Warnebald, formerly her husband, she and Robert, in their great need, gave, granted and established to Arbroath Abbey, all of their lands in the parish of Fordoun (KCD) that they had, for the provision of their allowance, as their previous charter to them attests. Because they were not able to warrant these lands to them, in order to make good on this defect, they have given, granted and by this their charter established to Arbroath Abbey in free and perpetual alms, their Mill of Conveth (KCD), which, after the death of R[obert], she Richenda, in the year 1245, in the free power of her widowhood, has ratified and established this donation and grant.
