Gilbert of Cleish obligates himself and his heirs to pay Dunfermline Abbey 10s. in perpetuity annually, half on Martinmas, half on Pentecost for the quitclaim of the right that the abbot and convent claimed to have to land between Cleish (KNR) and the forest of Outh (FIF), as recognised by responsible men in AD 1231, by precept of Alexander (II), king of Scotland, by stated bounds.
