Document 3/269/4 (Kel. Lib., no. 270)

Description
Philip of Halliburton for the salvation of his soul and all his ancestors and successors has given, granted, and established by this his charter, to Kelso Abbey and their mother church of Greenlaw, in free, pure and perpetual alms, the chapel of Halliburton (BWK) with the land, teinds and other pertinents, and its freedoms and facilities. Additionally, he has resigned and quitclaimed to the church de Greenlaw the chapel of Halliburton as a subordinate of its mother. He wishes and grants to Kelso the chapel with all its freedoms, pertinents, and facilities just as the charter of David son of Tructe, his great-grandfather, and Walter, his son, my grandfather, testify.
