Description
Agreement between (i) Andrew, bishop of Moray, and (ii) James, son of Morgan, over certain lands in the feu of Abernethy in Strathspey, that is, a certain portion of land at Coulnakyle and land which was said to belong to Abernethy; and over the teinds of cain which were customarily paid to kings from the said feu before the infeftment of the said James. James and his heirs shall be quiet for ever from every demand and dispute brought by them over the aforementioned by the said bishop of by any of his successors, or by the chapter, of by etc. The said James shall assign to the church of Abernethy in an appropriate place a suitable house close to the church with a a croft of one acre, to have in free, pure, and perpetual alms. James and his heirs shall pay to the bishops of Moray each year one mark sterling, half at Pentecost, and the other half at the feast of St Martin in the winter.
