- Description
- An agreement is formed between Henry, the physician, king’s clerk, and Niall Mac Ivar, whereby Niall has remitted to Henry the land of ‘Abthan’ (in Lunan parish, ANG) by its right bounds, as the demesne land of the church, and has remitted to the church of Inverlunan (ANG) and to the aforesaid Henry, persona of that church, and his successors in perpetuity, all the cain and conveth and all service and exaction pertaining to a lay persona and all right that he had in the aforesaid churchland. And Henry remitted to Niall, eight marks which Niall owed him, and gives him 10s. every year for the aforesaid cain and conveth and other exactions namely, 5s on Pentecost and 5s on St Martin’s Day. And Niall swore to uphold this agreement faithfully and without contrivance in the hand of Earl Duncan, and Henry did the same in the hand of Hugh the chancellor.
