- Alice of Gordon, daughter and heir of the late Sir Thomas de Gordon junior, the knight, in her legitimate widowhood, for the salvation of her soul and of her father's soul and Adam of Gordon, her late spouse, and all of her ancestors and successors, has given, granted and by this her present charter established, in free, pure, and perpetual alms, to Kelso Abbey all lands, returns, facilities, freedoms, rights and possessions that have been granted or established by Sir Richard, her great-grandfather, Sir Thomas, her grandfather, or Sir Thomas, her father, through their charters, especially a parcel of land which Sir Thomas, her father, conferred to Kelso Abbey. She and her heirs or assigns warrant every promise found in the instruments of Sir Richard, Sir Thomas senior, and Sir Thomas junior, against all men and women.
