Description
For the dispute between the abbot and convent of Inchcolm on one side, and the Nobleman William of Airth, lord of Fordell, on the other, over the marches of the moor of Bucklyvie (FIF) and of Fordell (FIF) and of their lands, there gathered on the said moor friends of both parties, namely Geoffrey, bishop of Dunkeld, Master Robert of Leicester, dean of Aberdeen, Sir William de Vieuxpont, knight, Thomas de Montgall, William [of] Brechin, to determine the dispute between the parties over the said marches which were determined with the counsel of the said bishop by stated bounds. The abbot and convent shall have free transit from the cross which stands above the mother syke traversing up towards the high street which leads from Dunfermline for their averia, saving damages to the crops of the said William. Sir William has sworn in the hand of the bishop that he will observe this, under penalty of £40.
