- Richard, master of the order of Sempringham, and the chapter of his order, notify that in the case between him and Paisley Abbey in the presence of the priors of Kirkham and Newburgh and the master of the schools of Malton (all in Yorkshire), papal judges-delegate, concerning the detention of a certain sum of money from 40 marks annually which was owed to him by their house, the matter was settled thus: he has relaxed half the detained money in full and remitted all expenses, provided that the said abbot and convent pay the said 40 marks to him in the house of Dryburgh according the letters by which they were first obligated, and following what was made later by his letters patent.
