Description
An agreement is formed between Sir Andrew, bishop of Moray for one part, and Sir R[obert], bishop of Ross and his chapter, for the other, before the papal judges-delegate, the abbot of Deer, the dean, and the archdeacon of Aberdeen concerning the churches of Ardersier and Kiltarlity (INV). The bishop of Moray shall possess the church of Kiltarlity and the bishop of Ross shall have the church of Ardersier just as his predecessors held it. A[ndrew], bishop of Moray with the assent of his chapter renounced all claim and right which he had in the church of Ardersier, while the bishop of Ross gave in perpetuity, with the consent of his chapter, church and clergy one stone of wax to the cathedral church of Elgin for confraternity, and other benefices which John Bisset and his heirs shall give to the church of Ross, as his charter bears witness.
