Description
William, bishop of Glasgow, makes known that in the dispute between Melrose Abbey and Holywood Abbey concerning the church of Dunscore (DMF), the following peace was decided. All rights which Melrose Abbey had were resigned into the bishop’s hands, and he converted the said church to the uses of the abbot and convent of Dercongal (Holywood). The abbot and convent of Melrose retained the teinds for their uses.
