John, bishop of Dunkeld, with Hugh abbot of Newbattle and Simon archdeacon of Glasgow as papal judges-delegate, pronounces judgement in the dispute between Abbot O[sbert] and the monks of Kelso and J., rector of Lilliesleaf over lands in Roxburgh (ROX), Kelso (ROX) and Bowden (ROX) which J. claimed by hereditary right and over teinds from the land which belonged to Ulkill Wallace which J. asserted to belong by right to his church of Lilliesleaf. The matter was settled thus: J. remitted to Kelso Abbey in perpetuity all right that he said that he had in those lands, and handed over to the abbot and monks the documents which were the basis of his claim. In addition, he remitted all right which he alleged that he had in those teinds and faithfully promised never again to raise these issues.
