- Pope Alexander IV writes to Master Rostan, chaplain, and his messenger in England, concerning the business of a 20th of church profits in the realm of Scotland which had been granted to the king of England for the subsidy of the Holy Land; he orders him that if the bishops or others should not undertake to produce this 20th, he is permitted to compel them through ecclesiastical censure.
