Description
Pope Alexander III, wishing to honour Bishop Jocelin of Glasgow with a special privilege of liberty for his faith and devotion, prohibits that no one except the Roman pontiff or his legate a latere is allowed to promulgate a sentence of interdict, suspension, or excommunication during Jocelin’s lifetime against him or the church of Glasgow.
