- Morgan, earl of Mar, to all the men of his whole land, that he has given and by his charter established to St Andrews Priory the church of St Moluag at Tarland (ABD), with teinds, oblations, and all rights pertaining to it, and the land pertaining to that church with mill built on the same land, and a ploughgate of land called ‘Hachadgonan’ by its right bounds, in perpetual alms, for the salvation of his soul and for the soul of Countess Agnes his wife, and their predecessors and ancestors. He also gives and grants to them in perpetual alms the teinds of all his renders of his whole land, namely, of hides, grain, cheese, flour, malt, ‘marts’, muttons, pigs, and of his hunt of meats and hides, and the tenth of his pleas and reliefs, in pennies or in other income. He also grants material from his wood for their buildings and common pasture for their livestock with the stock of himself and his men on his lands without any disturbance. He and Countess Agnes his spouse are to be received by the convent in its chapter into the fraternitas of the house of St Andrew and they have given and granted that wherever they die in Scotland (Scotia), their bodies are to be taken to St Andrews for burial.
