Description
Saer de Quincy, earl of Winchester, has given [granted and by his charter established] to Coupar Angus Abbey in pure and perpetual alms one mark annually, from his rents which Roger the mason of Forfar and his heirs owe Saer from the land which Roger holds of him in ‘Gardin’ (prob. Gardyne, ANG), in exchange for one chalder of grain which Robert de Quincy his father and Saer granted to the monks by their charters, to be paid annually on Pentecost and Martinmas.
