Patrick, earl of Dunbar, son of Earl Patrick, has restored to Durham Cathedral Priory the wardship of East Nisbet (BWK) and the marriage of its heirs as their own right forever. Neither he nor his heirs may in future pursue any right or claim to the wardship and marriage. He completely reserves to himself and his heirs 30s. annually on Martinmas from the prior of Coldingham for Edrom (BWK) and East Nisbet and also the forinsec service owed from these villas, of both of which he and his predecessors were vest and seised, providing moreover that the heirs of the villa are not disparaged.
DCM, Misc. Ch. 776
