Description
Earl Patrick of Dunbar, son of Earl Patrick, notifies that in dispute between himself and Melrose Abbey over agreement between Sir Patrick, the earl, his father, and same monks, concerning road to Lauder (BWK) by causeways and Malcolm’s Road (‘Malcolmisrode’), eventually, he has quitclaimed to Melrose Abbey any right that he had or may have had concerning Malcolm’s Road, or any right to public road to west beyond causeways. He also wills public road to be held by rightful boundaries between monks and himself.
