- Description
- Duncan, earl of Fife, makes known to all his responsible men, Scots, English and French, that he has granted and by his charter established to St Andrews Priory that they may build a millpond at Nydie (FIF) on his land on the northern side of the River Eden, perpetually for the welfare of the souls of himself and Countess Ela his spouse. He prohibits anyone staying on his land from disturbing the millpond. If on any occasion, the millpond is caused to be demolished, broken or flooded with water, he authorises the repair without any dispute or exaction from the canons.
