Description: Hugh, bishop of St Andrews, for Kelso Abbey; has granted liberty which it had in time of Bishops Robert, Arnold and Richard, namely church of Kelso with its parish to be free and quit in perpetuity from all subjection and exaction. The abbots may accept ordination, chrism, holy oil and other sacraments from whichever bishop they wish.
