- Edward de Balliol, formerly king of Scotland, son and heir of John de Balliol, king of Scotland, gives, grants and confirms by his charter to his lord and relative, Edward, king of England and France, his kingdom, government, title and crown of Scotland, with all its pertinents, and remits, releases and quitclaims to Edward, all right, action and claim that he had in the kingdom, as well as all allegiances, promises, agreements and contracts between the two of them, before the 20th of January.
