Description
Edward, king of Scots, out of affection for his most beloved lord and relative Edward, king of England, wished for the king to have 2,000 librates of his land, and in partial fulfilment of this, has given and assigned the castle, vill and sheriffdom of Berwick-upon-Tweed. And he will assign further lands making up to 2,000 librates on the marches of Scotland and England. In his parliament on 9 Feb., he ratifies the king's possession of these. Dated on the 12th of February.
