Document 1/54/484 (RMS, i, no. 224)

Description
David, king of Scots, has taken the Holywood abbey, their lands and their men, under his firm peace and protection. He firmly prohibits anyone causing them injury on penalty of his full forfeiture. He grants that none may take poinds on them or their men for any debt, pledge or forfeiture, except for their own debts, and excluding the king's burghs. He commands his officers to compel anyone owing the monastery debts to repay them without delay.
