Description
David, king of Scots, to his faithful Malcolm Fleming, sheriff of Dumbarton, noting that his father granted Paisley abbey freedom from all exactions for their land in Lennox, so long as they render five chalders of oatmeal for the maintenance of Dumbarton castle. He commands and instructs the sheriff to maintain and defend the abbey in this.
