David, king of Scots, to his faithful Walter of Halliburton, knight, his sheriff of Berwick upon Tweed: because he has granted the bishop of Durham that his sheriff and officers will make a recognition into the tenure of Wester Lumsdaine (BWK); he commands and instructs him to do this recognition according to the custom of his kingdom.
