- Description
- David, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful William of Wardlaw, two oxgangs of land in the vill of 'Corsgat' in the barony of Coldingham (BWK), which touches the king due to the forfeiture of the late Ralph of Eccles who died at the peace and fealty of the king of England; similarly a ploughgate of land lying in 'Blanhern', due to the escheat of the heirs of the late Henry of Ellom (?) now in the peace and fealty of the king of England; similarly two ploughgates that were Adam of Hilton's in the vill of Hilton, due to the escheat of Adam, who is now living at the peace and fealty of the king of England; holding by William and his heirs, as Ralph, Henry and Adam held them, for service owed and wont.
