Description
Edward, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful Thomas Uhtred, knight, for his impending good and laudable service the manor of Bunkle and all the other lands that John Stewart knight had in Scotland, which came into the king’s hands due to his forfeiture, with knight’s feus, wards, reliefs, escheats, forfeitures, marriages, advowsons of churches, toll team infangthef and outfangthef, for service owed and wont; and if John or his heirs are able to recover these lands, by consideration of his council or by petition in parliament, he shall hold them peaceably until saised of lands of equal value within the kingdom.
