- Description
- David, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful Alexander MacNaughton for his homage and service, all the lands which were the late John son of Donald son of Alexander of Islay's and all the lands which were the late John Dungalli (i.e., son of Dungal), persona, due to the forfeiture of the late John and John, his enemies, who died as rebels against the king's faith and peace; having and holding by Alexander and his son Duncan and his lawful male heirs, in feu and heritage, as the late John and John held them, for service owed and wont on land and on sea. If Duncan has no lawful male heirs, the king wills that the lands should go to Alexander's son Gilchrist. And if Gilchrist has no lawful male heirs, he wills that the lands should go to Alexander's son John.
