- King Robert I to Walter son of Gilbert and Robert of Ward, justiciars assigned in the dispute between John, son of the late Adam of More petitioner on one side and John Cissor and Sybil de Quarantilly his spouse, defendants, on the other. Because John and Sybil found safe and secure pledges for the king at Forfar on the previous 8th of December (1320), to false justice rendered by Henry sergeand of Covington against the said John and Sybil for the aforesaid John at their (the justices') full court held at Lanark on the first Tuesday after the Feast of St Laurence the Marytr last (12 August 1321), over the land of Meadowflat (LAN) with pertinents in the tenement of Covington (LAN) by the king's brieve of mortancestry at the same pleas. Due to the safe and secure pledges, the king commands the justiciars to attach Henry to appear before the king and his council at Edinburgh on Tuesday in the Feast of St Matthew the Apostle next (23 Sept. 1321). He also adjourns the other parties until the same time and place, and that John and Sybil be resaised in the said land
