Watt, Graduates, 147: Adam may have been the unnamed precentor who was chosen to elect a replacement for the bishop of Ross, now deceased. He died at Siena in 1296, having been at the papal curia since apparently the early 1290s. There are several contemporaries with the same name, causing some confusion.
