Adam of Darlington, master, precentor of Ross (d.1296)

Biography
Watt and Murray, Fasti, 357: Adam of Darlington occurs as precentor of Ross 1255x71. He was consecrated bishop of Caithness on 29 April 1296, but died before 17 December of that year, at Siena. Watt, Graduates, 147: Adam may have been the unnamed precentor who was chosen to elect a replacement for the bishop of Ross, now deceased. He died at Siena in 1296, having been at the papal curia since apparently the early 1290s. There are several contemporaries with the same name, causing some confusion.
