Stephen of Heton, master

Biography
Watt, Graduates, 263: Stephen occurs in acta of Bishop William Malveisin of St Andrews and may be related to John of Heiton, precentor of Moray, taking his name from Heiton (ROX); or he could be from Heddon-on-the-Wall (Northumberland); probably the same as Stephen de Hedon, a possible Cambridge graduate who was still alive in 1244 when given a benefice in Leicestershire. Cf Stephen of Lilliesleaf.
