Luke of Muthill, master, archdeacon of Dunblane

Biography
Watt and Murray, Fasti, 105, 116: Luke of Muthill occurs twice 1240x55 as dean of Dunblane. He occurs 7 April 1239 and 29 January 1240 as archdeacon of Dunblane. Watt, Graduates, 421: Luke as a relative of Bishop Gilbert of Dunkeld. His name comes from Muthill (PER), where Luke was also vicar. He was Master by 1231 and vicar of Muthill by 1235. He was promoted to archdeacon of Dunblane and later became dean of Dunblane. He may have been Luke, clerk of Bishop Abraham of Dunblane and may have also been Luke, clerk of William del Bois, the chancellor. He died after 1240 and was possibly still alive in March 1255.
