John, master, nepos of Bishop John of Dunkeld

Biography
Watt, Graduates, 427: John occurs as clerk with John Scott, before the latter became bishop, and as Master and nepos of the bishop in charters after John's succession as bishop of Dunkeld. He is possibly the same as John of St Andrews who witnesses a charter of Bishop Richard of St Andrews 1172×78, and as Master in the same context. He might also be the same as John of Heton, clerk of the next bishop of Dunkeld (1203-10), though this is unlikely. He is more likely to be the same Master John Scott who witnesses the agreement between St Andrews and Durham, 2 Feb. 1194.
