William of Gloucester, prior of May (1269-70)

Biography
Watt and Shead, Heads, 144: William of Gloucester, a monk from the mother house at Reading, succeeded Hugh as prior of May in 1269. He is presumably the unnamed prior of Pittenweem who occurs on 25 October 1270; and was likely the same as a William 'dictus de Glouernia' who witnesses a charter of this time.
