Dating Notes
Appearance of royal clerks William de Boscho and Gilbert of Stirling × royal confirmation (<em>RRS</em>, ii, no. 419), which dates to before 24 Mar. 1201 (Robert de Quincy died after 28 August in ‘1200’). Barrow has suggested that Malise’s grant was written up at the same time, but while the witness list does suggest Malise’s charter was written up at the royal court, it does not suggest that it was done at the same time as the confirmation, due to significant variation in witnesses.
