Description
Robert, king of Scots, to his officers, notifying that he has granted his beloved and faithful James lord of Douglas knight that he may have the land of Westerker (DMF) that belonged to William de Soules knight and the land of Staplegordon (DMF) that belonged to John Lindsay of Wauchope knight, free of prises, captions, carriages, tallages, and other arrears, as was customary in the time of King Alexander III. He forbids anyone from burdening or troubling James, his heirs, or his men unjustly on pain of his full forfeiture.
