Description
Robert, king of Scots, to his officers, noting that by inspection of the charters of Lord David, late king of Scotland, and of his other predecessors the late kings of Scots, to the abbot and convent of Dunfermline, he understands that they are free from captions, tallages, carriages, and services, except the defence of the realm. He forbids them from acting contrary to these charters.
