Description
Charter of Alexander II confirming to Coupar Angus Abbey the lands of Coupar with their appurtenances given by King Malcolm IV, ‘Abbthyn’ (presumably Aberbothrie in Bendochy, Perthshire) given by King William I, two perches of land in Perth purchased from William son of Lene, and the lands of ‘Edderpolls’ (now Grange in Errol, Perthshire) given by William de la Hay; also the gift by Richard de la Batall of that land between ‘Ederpolls’ and Inchmartine which was disputed between William de la Hay and Richard Ruffus; the gifts by Stephen of Blair and Thomas Durward; and the gift by David Ruffus who appointed the monks his heirs for the land of Kincriech (in Inverarity, Angus).
