Description
Adam of Badby, son and heir of Simon of Badby, has given, granted and by his charter established, to Richard, his brother, all that land which he has from the heritage of the said Simon, his father, in the villa and territory of North Lamberton, to hold of him and his heirs just as Simon, his father, held and possessed it, rendering 1d. at Pentecost for all secular service, aid, action and demand, and making forinsec service that pertains to the king and the prior of Coldingham by reason of the said land. If it happens that Richard should die without heirs or assignees, he grants that William or Roger, [Adam’s?] brothers, or Matilda or Margaret, Adam’s sisters, shall have the land. Warrandice.
