- John, king of Scots, makes known that John, bishop of Carlisle, who has come lately to him for certain special business on behalf of the king’s lord, lord Edward, king of England, has been granted by him safe and secure conduct to return to the realm of England. He commands that no injury befall the bishop, his household or his things.
