Description
Alexander, sheriff of the lord king, of Stirling, for the soul of King William his lord and for the welfare of King Alexander [II] his lord, has given, granted, and made firm by this his present charter to Glasgow Cathedral, three marks annually in pure and perpetual alms from his mill of Cadder (LAN), falling on two terms, that is, 20s. at Pentecost and 20s. on Martinmas, for the provision of the dean and chapter of Glasgow and for the upkeep of one chaplain serving in the church of Glasgow at the altar of St Serf built there.
